I was born from a brazilian scrub nurse and an italian ski athlete. They met in Santa Barbara, California. She was there to study English and he was a student of photography at the Brooks Institute.

I came to this world in 1986 in San Paulo, BR, but only after three months we were back on the West Coast for the following three years. My father Nicola Majocchi graduates with excellence and is hired by Irving Penn, as his assistant, in NYC. I spend an idilliac chhildhood in Forest Hills, Queens - Peter Parker and I shared the same playground. I was literate in 3 languages, to be more specific: my native language is English, my mother tongue Portuguese and Italian I’ll let you guess. As a toddler I learned my first words in all three of them, and up to today there is no favorite one. To me it’s one universal language with different shades of colour.

In 1996 we move to Milan. A few years there and then Brazil. In San Paulo I attend the first years of highschool and live the best of my teenage years. In 2001 we move back to Italy, Rome this time. I finsh my highschool studies in classical and linguistic studies (Latin, English, Spanish and French).

In 2005 I set foot on a movie set for the first time, visiting a friend. I had spent much of my life assisting my father on photographic sets worldwide, developing a deep understanding of the craft. However, this experience on a film set felt different. When I first heard “Action”, there was a spark - that’s when I knew I wanted to be part of it. Immediately, I begin working as an AD, dedicating the next five years to this passion.

In summer 2010, I return from a trip to South America, where I worked on a documentary shoot. This professional experience allows me to dive into social and anthropological activities. I decide to study “Theories and Practices of Anthropology” at La Sapienza University of Rome. In 2012, I become a mother, which was a transformative period in my life.

During these years I begin working in translations - allowing me to stay home while still having a career. Set life becomes less feasible with my new responsabilities. I also teach English privately and at a cultural association, managing classes up to 30 people. Meanwhile actors begin reaching out when they have international auditions, and once they land roles, I continue to support them throughout their work.

When I eventually return working on set, I realize that being an AD no longer fulfills me. Initially I was the AD that could coach actors and translate the dialogues if needed. However, the role of “Dialogue Coach”, emerging in Italy, happened to be the perfect blend of all my skills and interests. Shortly after I was officially recognized in productions, which was both exciting and validating.

For me, this job is all about continuous learning and research. Every project comes with new challenges and opportunities to grow - whether it’s working with actors, with the director’s vision, or with a story that needs to be told in a different language - each experience adds something valuable to my work.

I’m passionate about always evolving and adapting, which helps me provide the best support for the people I work with. My goal is always to make each collaboration a meaningful exchange, based on mutual respect and understanding.
